In the framework of creating a services network available to the final users’ communities at the Academic and Research Institutions, the design and materialization of a Network, which was named SERVICENET, was assigned to the writer. SERVICENET is the first Network that completely materializes the O.S.I. model in Greece. It has been designed with respect to the CONS model of the O.S.I and provides services such as XXX, X.400, X.500 and FTAM, while simultaneously it possesses all the INTERNET services at the Academic and Research Institutions.
